Georg Jensen Collaboration
Cohesion
Jewellery collection
The Cohesion collection is a stunning display of jewellery inspired by a tribute to Georg Jensen’s own iconic ideas, principles, and aspirations of the Art Nouveau style. Now with modern design, flowing forms, and exquisite sculptural embellishments.
The collection is a jubilation of Georg Jensen’s 120th anniversary of passion for organic essentiality and details of raw nature. Each piece is a unique work of art, crafted with care and attention to detail, focusing on quality and craftsmanship.
Cohesion Lookbook

The Collection
The Cohesion jewellery collection is like mushrooms after a summer rain, arising raw with a refined beauty that feels both primal and spiritual. Seeming to have an organic, fluid nature, though born from human hands.
Cohesion empowers the motifs of nature’s timeless aesthetic and the importance of preserving the embodiment of interconnectedness
Packing
The jewellery box is off-white with texture, to create depth, flow and elegance. Inside there is a brown pillow which is a reference to a tree, where the ring is the a mushroom attached to it.
Display
In the display, we have continued the texture of the mushrooms, to create cohesion, combined with the smooth surfaces and soft shapes. All in an off-white colour, to put the jewellery in focus and keep it timeless.

A COMBINATION OF DESIGN, TECHNOLOGY & BUSINESS
01
Introduce

Introduction
The collection Cohesion was created for Georg Jensen. It was designed in a group of four as a school project at KEA – Copenhagen School of Design and technology in 2022. The project consist of a jewellery collection, packaging and display.
A DART and business analysis was used to identify a potential marked and strategy for the company Georg Jensent. As we have become more aware of sustainability, you see more slow-made things being made, both for the sake of sustainability, but also for quality and craftsmanship aspects
The following design process follows the Design Thinking Method.
02
EMPATHIZING
EMPATHIZING
Based on the business analysis and empirical research. The persona Alexsandra was created as a representation of the target group and to understand and build empathy for the customer.
03
Defining
DEFINING
With consideration to the information collected the design drivers and moodboard was created and the problem was defined trough a “Point of View” and “How Might We” to start ideating for the collection.
04
IDEATING
IDEATING
With sketching, the process to solve the defined problem began. Using 2D and 3D sketching the collection, packaging and display started to take form.
05
PROTOTYPING & TESTING
PROTOTYPING & TESTING
With high fidelity prototyping, technology becomes essential. 3D-drawing and printing makes it possible to quickly create high-quality prototypes to test and develop the collection. Both with jewellery, packaging and display 3D programs such as Rhino makes it easy to make the ideas become a reality.
06
Production
Production
After a long testing and prototyping process it was time to create et finishing products.
