I have chosen the sculpture “Mother with two children” by the artist Käthe Kollwitz, from the current exhibition “Mother”.
What drew my attention to the sculpture was the unfiltered rawness of love it extruded. After the research of the artist and making my analysis of the sculpture I got even more effected by the raw beauty of the sculpture.
Initially it was supported to be a mother with her child, but after the birth of her grandchildren, did Käthe Kollwitz added a second child. This inspired med to create the Embrace collection
